Hello! I’m Lindsey, and as you can probably tell by now, I am a little goofy and try not to take myself too seriously. I think getting a little goofy in life is its exact purpose, I am here to enjoy the ride.
I am momma to 2 boys. My oldest son is on the autism spectrum. Its something I talk a lot about in my personal life and it is a very big part of my life. I love being his advocate, in fact, I truly believe it was my destiny from the beginning. My youngest son might be the most competitive human on the planet. He runs at challenges head first even when it ends up in tears. Being a momma is truly my greatest pride, I am sure you can relate.
I have been married to my husband since 2007, which feels both like it just happened and it was a lifetime ago. Its weird how life is that way sometimes. He introduced me to Star Wars and the Marvel universe. But like not just the Disney version of Marvel, like the OG, in comic books.
I LOVE the Dallas Cowboys, ride or die. I drink waaayyy too much coffee and almost never turn down a margarita or a class of wine. You can probably find me a Target in sweatpants most days of the week.
My love for photography started in high school, which I regretfully admit was over 20 years ago. I learned on black and white film in a darkroom. I carried that interest into college at the University of North Texas where I started as a photojournalism major. But as college does, I found a different path that interested me and graduated with a degree in Psychology.
But you know, some things in life just have a way of finding you. After YEARS of waiting tables after I had my degree, I stumbled across a photography company that was hiring. I worked there for 5 years photographing little league sports and marathons across the country, until my son was born, when I decided to be my own boss.
I have loved *almost* every minute of it (I am not sure I can ever find joy in bookkeeping). I adore working with teenagers and watching them blossom on the other side of the camera. Its kind of scary at first, at least for most of us; and watching that girl find her confidence is the reason I do what I do.
Since then, I have been internationally published, certified through Professional Photographers of America, and have won awards for my work.
