Twin Newborn Photography | Keira and Corey

I met Stacey roughly forever ago, she is the younger sister to one of my closest friends.  When she found out she was pregnant – with twins – I squealed! I LOVE photographing babies! While I am still relatively new to the newborn photography market, it is one segment I can’t live without.  Twin newborn photography can be a challenge, and I knew it would, but I had a blast and the babies were so great!

Stacey was so fortunate, these babies came when she was full term, something I understand is quite rare with twins.  She was also able to leave the hospital with Keira and Corey in tow.  I was able to photograph them when they were about 12 days old.   They were both so adorable and did so well for their session.  Typically one baby is hard and 2 is harder, but they were like a dream.

If looking at these squishy babies doesn’t give you even a little bit of baby fever, look some more. Seriously its impossible not to keep the word “aaawwww” from seeping out of your lips.  I have to say, the sweetest photo of all, little Corey was getting settled while snuggling on top of sister Keira, and a little smile creeped out when dad’s hand touched his back to soothe him.  Sooo sweet.newborn twins

I’d like to take a second to mention how important baby safety is when it comes to newborns.  The poses are very sweet, but obviously a little unnatural since you won’t find babies in nature laying their head in the hands.  Its important to make sure mom, dad or an assistant is close by, many of these shots hands were just outside the frame, and in some cases in the frame and removed in post.  Take care of these little beings, they are mom and dads most precious possession.

Til next time!
