I have so many wonderful things to say about Claire and our senior photo session together I don’t even know where to start. I met Claire through her mother, who was a preschool teacher at my son’s preschool last year. On a related note, God bless preschool teachers, I can barely handle my 2 hoodlums, I have no idea how they manage a room full of them! When we all met at Claire’s portrait planning session we immediately hit it off.Claire has a heart the size of the galaxy and is destined for great things. She is in choir, plays the guitar and ukulele, talent beyond my comprehension. While I myself have been shorted in the musical talent department, my music teacher mother has instilled a deep appreciation for it. I can not say enough good things about Claire. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met, with an amazing head on her shoulders. She plan to take her love ofmusic and study music therapy and work with special needs kids. I can honestly say that I don’t know many teenage girls that have that sort of passion and direction.
We did all of Claire’s session in Downtown Fort Worth. This is really becoming a favorite location of mine. There is so much beauty and texture, there is shiney and polished and worn and rustic and I swear I find new places every time I go. We ventured towards the water gardens, which are so beautiful but can really be hard to shoot at. There is no shade and with the giant reflective water surface, lighting has to be just right. But lucky for us, it absolutely was!
Of course, if you are heading downtown, a visit to the Plaza is a must.
While I want every session with me to be unique, I always visit the alley by the Scat lounge. I don’t know why, but it just speaks to me. Its perfectly urban, with beautiful lighting and quite frankly I can’t think of what else you would want from a location.
I loved every moment working with Claire. I wish her nothing but the best and I cannot wait to deliver her beautiful images and products!
